Liam's purty fleurs

Okay, I know that this is my 5th post in a matter of days, and I haven't yet done the birthday party posts, but can I help it if my child is just so. fricken. cute? :)

I've got so many other things to get done, but sharing Liambytes is more important than cleaning bathrooms or picking rocks (Seriously. I have to go pick rocks. Where am I?).

Remember, it's important to stop and smell the flowers sometimes. (um, and with your eyes closed, please, because they smell oh so much better.)

We celebrated the final day of summer 2008 with a fun football game with the boys. Liam was (obviously) the star quarterback and (I hate to brag, and all) scored at least 4 touchdowns. Peewee league, look out! I'm surprised the recruiters didn't follow us home. (On that, can you believe that 3 year olds have their own league here? Seriously. Crazy.)

The daddies also got into the game with a rousing game of touch football. The mommies cheered on all the boys and took photos.

Here are pictures of some bulbs that I ordered to adorn our gardens for next year. They are a variety of heights, flowering times and smells.
On this final day of summer, it's nice to be able to look ahead to next growing season!

Flashback...

A walk in the park

Gosh, there is just so much to write about and no time to write it! ...the fun trip home to Ottawa and Liam's Ottawa-birthday party; Mom, Dad and Cath's visit here and Liam's Indy-birthday party; playing and hanging out at our new home; Liam's mad skilz...

So, this post will focus on some of Liam's new tricks. The other fun things will have to come later.

Liam's a walker! He's officially walking more than crawling. He actually rarely crawls now--at least inside. Outside, he'll do his monkey-crawl more often--mostly in the grass or over the water hoses on the sidewalks. He can go for quite a ways before he topples over. He can even carry his sippy-cup and walk AT THE SAME TIME! His multi-tasking abilities are astounding.

So, here are a few pics of us at the park and a video or two showing off this marathon runner in training.
