Happy 34-monthiversary, Liam!!

Happy 2 years and 10 months, Liam!  What a big boy you are!
A day after your 33-monthiversary last month, you said, "GOOD-BYE, DIAPERS!" and you never looked back!  Into the big-boy Thomas/Lightning McQueen/Superheroes underwear you went and we charted and M&M-ed and whoo-hooed and high-fived you through each dry day!  The first day you had a couple of accidents but you learned to "Listen to your body and go to the potty!" each time you had to go and were able to earn some potty presents in the process.  Are Mommy and Daddy proud? You bet your sweet patootie we are!  ;)

Mommy found a fun activity for you to do.  If you read 10 books, you could get a free book at Borders.  We printed off the form and every night you read one of your books to either Daddy or me and we recorded it on the form.  You read Go, Dog, Go and 9 of your other favourite books and we took the form into Borders and came home with your free book, Flat Stanley!  (...plus a book on Fire engines and a little school bus)
You finished up your first year of school this month.  You have grown so much in the past school year.  Did you know that you used to be so sad when Mommy dropped you off?  Ms. Tina would have to give you extra cuddles to make you feel better, but you would cheer up and play within a few minutes.  By the end of the year, you were so grown-up and could give Mommy a good-bye kiss and hug and go off and play.
Your favourite word this month was poopydodder.  Both Daddy and I keep asking you what it is (besides a cool 'poopy' word) and you could never tell us.  But that didn't stop you from saying it twenty-five times per day.  It was like Chinese water torture some days, but I did my best to ignore it and hopefully it will phase out.
You are now riding your bike like a pro.  You can use your brakes perfectly well and stop when Mommy and Daddy yell, "Stop!"  You are working on your endurance and can bike for about 10 minutes and then you get too tired.  The rule is if you ride your bike out, you have to either ride or push your bike back.  Or leave it.  So far you have chosen to ride or push it.  Mommy's not going to lug that thing back home while you skip along.  It's heavy!  ;)
You have become a master gardener.  You know the rule to only "walk in the valleys" and will comment about how "these (plants) are growing very big and nice!" You can also point out each plant to our friends and neighbours who would inquire about the garden.  So far we have enjoyed some lettuce, strawberries, and peas.
One day, you and Daddy were fixing his remote control car.  He needed a part and you said that we could go to the store by Target to get a part.  You called the store, "Rocky".  I thought and thought and thought and I couldn't remember a store called Rocky at all.  So I told you that I couldn't think of what store you were talking about that would sell RC supplies.  I asked you to point it out next time we drove by.  A few days later, we all went out for dinner at Red Robin.  As we were driving by Target you shouted out, "Rocky!! Mommy, there's Rocky!"  Daddy and I turned to look and you were pointing at a building with the letters RCI on it.  Daddy and I laughed--"Rocky" and Remote Control.  Of course.  Too bad they don't sell RC stuff--they are a timeshare company.
