Happy 11-monthiversary Jude!

Happy 11-months, baby!!

You are eating more foods, now like crunchier crackers, cheese (which you love), spicy pasta, and macaroni and cheese (which you also love!), frozen bread (for your sore gums), peas, cut up pears, apples, yogurt and applesauce/prunes.
Your two front teeth broke through around the same time allowing you to eat again.  Another tooth on the top is pushing through, also--poor baby!
You are standing on your own for at least 20 seconds.  You will bounce up and down on your toes--you have strong legs and core muscles and amazing balance.  You took your first step to Mommy from the couch this month! You've done it a few times since, but it's not your favourite actitivy.  You still prefer that solid feeling of crawling or at the very least, having someone to hold onto.
You are more vocal when you're upset these days.  You will yell at the top of your lungs and your arms and legs will shake. We definitely take notice, then. 

You are tormented endlessly by your big brother, yet you still follow him around to play with him and love to grab at whatever he is playing with.  Sometimes your scuffles will just be full of great big belly laughs from the two of you and sometimes Liam will get a bit too rough and you'll burst into tears.  After some hugs and cuddles you go right back at it.  I predict this will just be how things are with you two.  :)
You learned a couple of new signs that you like to use--milk and cheese.  You're practicing your talking also with MumMum, DaDa, and go.  You know your own name. You call Liam, "Ah!" still when you are looking for him.  When Daddy calls on the phone, your face lights up.  You like chewing on my phone, but it makes it do silly things (like not work), so I try to keep it far away from you.  You chew on everything and everything goes in your mouth--mulch, floor cheerios, toys, non-toys, everything.  So far nothing too gross, but there's always time for that!
On Canada Day we went to the zoo with Noelle, Ryan and Gavin Ehler.  We saw lots of fun animals and watched Liam run around in the water park while you danced with Mommy to the music.  You love to dance! We also had Canada Day cake, but you weren't interested in it one bit.
You gave Mommy a kiss (slobbery chew on mommy's bottom lip) and will kiss the babies in your book.  You're very cuddly and affectionate.
You love to play at the water park and at the pool.  Splashing is certainly a fun activity!  Your favourite toys right now are your musical instruments, especially the microphone, drum, and bell.
