Prezzies for Daddy

As Liam said below, :) it was a fun day today hanging out with Scott at home and at the neighbourhood pool. Liam and I got Scott two shirts and a bunch of Canadian chocolate and gum, as well as a framed pic of Liam for Scott to bring to work. I dressed Liam up in Scott's biking jersey and sat him with Scott's helmet for this picture:

Liam is looking up to his Daddy. :)

We had a great time at the pool. Liam lounged in his little floater and we took in some nice warmth from the beautiful sunny day.

Now Scott and I are about to enjoy some icewine--Cabernet Sauvignon Icewine from Konzelmann Winery, Niagara Penninsula...mmmmmm.

Swimming, playing with friends and just hanging out

I've been such a photographoliamaholic that I've been neglecting my blog. Here are some pics of things we have been up to lately: swimming at our neighbourhood pools (there are three within walking distance. too cool), hanging out with friends (Trace and Missy, Madison and Beti, and our playgroup, of course!), relaxing at home together as a family, playing with toys and eating (love the pic of Liam lounging in his hi-chair! And, um, yes, we do feed him things other than his own foot!).

We're off to Ottawa for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends. Hopefully I can find some time after to post on that trip!

Feeding my Addiction

For my very first Mother's Day (well besides last year when I was mommy to Liam-in-utero), Scott and Liam bought me an awesome Pentax digital SLR camera! It has lots of buttons and a big screen and a kick-ass 14 megapixels of clarity! I could enlarge a picture to cover the entire wall of our apartment and it would still look as crisp and clear as a 4x6 photo. Wheeee! Tell me that's not the coolest thing ever!! :)


Anyway, Liam is currently 282 days old. At last count we had just over 7500 photos of him. If you do the math, that would mean we (ahem...*I*) took about 26 pictures every day of his life. You see where I'm going with this?

So, friends, here is a taste of what is to come: if Liam blinks, I'll catch it. If Liam raises his hand in the air, it will be documented. If Liam claps, it will be forever preserved on our hard drive along with the 10,000 other photos of Liam's ear, Liam eating squash, Liam crawling, Liam laughing... Honestly, Liam will have to live to be 250 years old to see all of these pictures when he grows up. I really don't think he could sit still that long.


Ah well, in the meantime, there are pictures to take!
