First off, things I will miss:
-the three pools within walking distance (two of which we visited often)
-the lovely neighbourhood with very different looking houses and beautiful landscaping of which I could look at for hours as Liam and I walk the village
-the shady wooded path that we would take when Liam and I would go for walks in the blazing sun
-the playyard that is the apartment--we could just close off the doors to the bedrooms and the place was childproof
-no stairs, hence no babygates (can you believe we will need 6 babygates in our new home??!!)
-a coffee shop within walking distance (not that I have ever been, hence the lack of a photo, but it's nice to know it's there)
-opening up the french doors in the morning to guess with Liam what the weather would be like that day, and to watch the construction trucks go by (well, actually pulling back the blinds on the french doors since we can't open them because they are caulked shut due to our "friends" described in the next list below...)
-the many and varied parks in the area, most with baby swings but all with fun slides!
-fun neighbours that we have befriended

And this next list documents things that I will NOT miss:
-our busted washing machine
-Miguel
-Enrico
-moldy mold mold
-lack of storage
-the disaster zone (our new place has a playroom with doors that close!)
-carpet that needed to be re-stapled down because it kept coming up due to the next item on the list
-flooding near the french doors every time it rained
-the neighbour's phone ringing at all hours
-the smell of cigarette smoke from above-mentioned neighbour
:) But really, now. It can't be perfect or we wouldn't have felt the need to buy our awesome house!! All in all, it has been a wonderful time here at our little apartment in the village and we are happy to have lived here. Liam first crawled here. He learned to eat steak, chicken and cheese (amongst other things). He first pulled up to stand. He cruised the furniture, toys, walls, legs, whatever he could hold onto for the first time. He said "Dada" and "Baba" (his version of Mama--it used to be Rara...it keeps morphing...). He slept through the night for the first time (Praise Jesus!). We laughed, we cried (actually I don't think we cried...well maybe one or two nights of waking every hour caused the shedding of tears...), we made wonderful friends, we sold a house and we bought a house. It's been an eventful 7 months. (hey, that's over half of Liam's life!)
Anyway, onwards and upwards in making new memories in our dream home. We move in 2 weeks!
